Dayna R. Powell, age 60 of Akron, Ohio, died on January 9, 2019 with her family by her side.
Dayna was born on October 19, 1958 in Akron. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, William James and Helen (nee Harris) Powell, and her brother, Eddie Powell.
She owned the One and Only Rainbow Grille in Akron and she also drove school bus for the Akron City Public School System. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her three children, Garry (Sonia) Finch, Jr., Myriah E. (Dane) Pownall, and Noah J. ( Jeanette) Finch; her grandchildren, Michael, Arriana, David, Gavin, Khol, Khloe, EmmaLynn, and Liliana; and her siblings, Dee Powell and Dawn (Joseph) Chaffin; numerous nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends.
Memorial calling hours will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron and also on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
There will be a Memorial Service on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
