David S. "Babyson" Sumitra went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 15, 2015. He is NOT dead but ALIVE in Christ praising God in Heaven Today. Despite many years of struggling with health issues David never complained or asked God why? He held on to his faith and died by his faith. In spite of a successful career in India David moved his family to America to further his career an education. David became a System Administrator at the Computer Center of the University of Akron where he worked for 23 years having to retire due to his illness. By God's grace he achieved in 23 years what most men take a life time to accomplish. To God be the glory. He lived a committed Christian life and faithfully attended Grace Bible Church in New Franklin Township. He was also instrumental with his wife starting Christian home bible study among the India community. He was very active in the India Christian association as his health would allow him. His cousin wrote: "David is by nature a kind, affectionate, an caring human being. That is not to say that all the good he shared with the world came easy rather, he chose to live a life that was gentile and thoughtful, fulfilling his calling in life".
David is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Edwin V. Sumitra and Abraham P. Sumitra. He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Margaret A. Sumitra of 44 years and his dearest daughter, Grace S." Sweetie" Sumitra; sister, Dr. Grace Paul and brother-in- law, John Paul; brothers, Dr. John Sumitra, Paul Sumitra, Joshua Sumitra and numerous cousin, nieces and nephews.
