David G. Decker
David G. Decker, age 71, reported off work for the last time on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 11:35 p.m. He was the beloved husband of Beverly; father of Michael (Megan) and Stacy (Dan); brother of Delores (Loyal) and Ronald (Mickey).
David was a proud grandpa of Jeffrey (Dessie), Nathan, Michael, Adelyn, Zachery, Samuel, Isabella, and Daniel, often saying "We should have had the grandkids first."
He was the original founder of Decker Muffler, who enjoyed salmon fishing and stock car racing, but his favorite place to be was Atlantic City or Mountaineer. He influenced everyone he came in contact with and would do anything for anyone. His humor will be missed by all of us.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 5-7 followed by a 7:00 p.m. funeral service with Pastor Bob Cheyney officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Goswami, Dr. Weiner, Bonnie and Steve Bednar for their immaculate care and compassion.
