David Lee Crossan, 82, passed away unexpectedly on October 21, 2025.
Born on March 26, 1943, in Zanesville, Ohio, David was the son of Joseph and Eileen Ruth Crossan. He was known throughout his life for his strong work ethic, mechanical skills, practical wisdom, and ability to solve almost any problem that came his way.
Dave was a quiet man who showed his love through actions rather than words. Providing for his family was one of the values he held most deeply, and he worked tirelessly to ensure that those he loved were cared for. Whenever his sisters needed help with a repair, a project, or a difficult situation, he was always willing to lend a hand.
He enjoyed many interests throughout his life, including playing guitar, target shooting, and martial arts. In his younger years, he became an accomplished sharpshooter and earned a black belt in karate, approaching every pursuit with dedication and discipline.
Dave is survived by his children, Wendy Sue Rogers, Tonya Grace Bogden, and Kevin David Crossan. He was preceded in life by many years shared with his former wives, Sue, Shirley, and Donna. He also leaves behind his beloved sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Known affectionately as “Unk,” Dave will be remembered for his quiet kindness, steady support, and willingness to help others without seeking recognition. Though he was not one to openly express affection, those who knew him best understood the depth of his love through the countless ways he showed up for family and friends.
His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the example he set, and the care he provided to those around him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
