David L. Bittinger

David L. Bittinger, 82, of Green, passed away on November 16, 2016. Dave loved the Lord with all his heart and was a faithful servant his entire life. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and worked as a masonry contractor. He devoted himself to his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Darius and Frances Bittinger; brother, Paul Bittinger; granddaughter, Rachel Bittinger; and great-grandsons, Micah Maddox McNichols and Grayson Zane McNichols. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley; children, Gail Bittinger, Carol Bogdanovich and her sons, Shane, and Silas (Kaily) Bittinger and their children, Abby and Morgan Bittinger, Mari (Greg) McNichols and their sons, Colt (Brittany) and Zane McNichols; Bill (Jodi) Bittinger and their children, Sydni and Robby Bittinger, and Frank Bittinger; three brothers, four sisters and their spouses.
Visitation will be Monday, November 21, 2016 from 11-1 followed by a 1 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Burial service will be held on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arlington Church of the Nazarene, 1057 Triplett Blvd, Akron, OH 44306.
