David Maxwell "Max" Baker, 87, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully at his home on December 2, 2025. He was born in Wise, VA on March 27, 1938 to the late Oscar and Maude {Justice} Baker.
In addition to his parents, Max was preceded in death by his sisters, Violet Blaney, Virginia VanMeter, Jackie Coldiron and Bonnie Hamilton and brothers, Lester, Jerry and Ben Baker.
Max was a member of Cathedral of Tomorrow, and most recently, of Chapel of Prayer Baptist Church. He spent his entire adult life working to provide for his family, and his work history proved that he was a "jack of all trades" and certainly a master of some! In his free time, Max enjoyed music, especially bluegrass, starting (and usually finishing) projects around the house, and watching old Westerns or Gospel recordings at ear-splitting volumes!
Max is survived by his children Yvonne Baker, Donna French, Doug Baker and Wayne Baker; granddaughter Reanna Baker; great-granddaughter Ivy Grace Carpenter.
