Dave Metz

Dave Metz, 68, of Akron passed away August 26, 2014. He was born April 27, 1946 in Akron to the late Elza and Nanny (Blanche) Metz. Dave lived in the Akron area his entire life where he attended Mogadore High School and owned several businesses. He drove a Yellow Cab for over 30 years which allowed him to meet many different people from all walks of life.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by Sisters, Louise Guthrie and Shirley Lentz, and Infant Daughter, Sherrill Metz. He leaves behind and will be dearly missed by his loving Wife, Joanne Metz, Children; Kimberly Metz, Vincent Metz, Laura (Ken) Pittman, Barbara (John Kandes) Craig, Eric (Darla) Metz, Travis (Andrea) Metz, and Adam Metz, Brothers, Leonard Metz and Danny Wehrlin, Sister, Marlene Miller, 10 Grandchildren; Stephanie (Ryan), Samantha, Stacy, Shelby, Nicholas, Kasey, Kelsey, Areon, Chandler, and Taylor, 1 Great Grandson on the way, Tucker, along with many other relatives and friends.

Family and friends may call on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm and 5:00 pm-8:00 pm at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 am.
