Dave A. Myers, 49, of Lakemore, passed away on March 6, 2015. He was born in Ravenna on July 14, 1965. Dave loved spending time outdoors with family and friends. He could often be found camping and tending a bonfire. His favorite meals were grilled and always included a fresh tomato. He was an avid bowler and pool player. He also loved to play horseshoes. He was fond of guns and belonged to the NRA. His family will always remember the great road trips that they took together. He was a long distance truck driver for many years.
Dave was preceded in death by his father, Larry Myers and brother, Paul Myers. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Jane Myers; twin brother, Dean Myers; sons, Michael Hormell, Daniel (Jennifer) Myers, and Shaun Myers; stepmother, Mindy Myers; siblings, Jon Chestnutwood, Keri (Dave) Stevens, and Larry Myers; grandchildren, Dakotah, Austin, Michael II, Zander, Kristopher, and Noah; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Lobo.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 11-1 followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.
