Darla Kristine Hostler, 52, of Portage Lakes, passed away with her family by her side on October 10, 2015. She was born in Cuyahoga Falls on February 18, 1963.
Darla was truly a free spirit. She loved the outdoors and had many fond memories of camping, bonfires, and enjoying being near the water. Those who know her will always remember the unconditional love she had for family and friends.
Darla was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys "Happy" Van Orman. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Grant Wood; children, Derek (Jessica) Wood, Dane Hostler, Dylan Hostler, and Amelia Phelps; father, Wayne Hostler; siblings, Dora McCain, Denise (Bob) Adkins, Dan Hostler, Donna Snider, and Dana Barringer; grandchildren, Kody, Kaden, and Keira; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Visitation will be Friday, October 23, 2015 from 5-7 followed by a 7:00 p.m. memorial service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Darla's family.
