Daniel W. Criss, 53, of Akron, passed away unexpectantly on April 3, 2014. He was born in S. Charleston, WV on July 31, 1960.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Criss, Jr. Dan is survived by his parents, Richard and Margaret Criss; children, Richard, Robert, Jerod, Jessica (David Reuting) , Jami Phillips, Johnnie and Amanda; 9 grandchildren; brother, Timothy (Jean); sisters, Nancy Moyer, Twila Whitkanack and Jean Criss; many nieces and nephews.
Dan loved to go fishing, camping and enjoyed the open road. His wish is to be taken back home to the mountains of West Virginia by his brother.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 8, from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the ADM crisis center or to the family of Dan Criss through https://www.youcaring.com/dancriss.
