Daniel Joseph Korosa

Daniel Joseph Korosa, 58, of Akron, passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2026 at his home.

He was born on May 26, 1967 in Barberton, Ohio and was raised in Canal Fulton, Ohio where he graduated from Northwest High School in 1985. He also attended R G Drage Career Technical Center in Massillon, where he studied power mechanics.

Dan was employed as a service advisor at Great Lakes Truck Centers in Akron, part of the Valley Truck Centers company. He was very well regarded by his co-workers and customers alike.

Dan worked hard, but he knew how to play hard too. In his younger days he enjoyed riding motorcycles and camping trips in southern Ohio with family and friends where he would spend days four wheeling.

He loved anything with a motor and had great times riding mini bikes with his twin brother and visiting car shows.

At home, he often relaxed playing video games with chips, dip, and peanuts close at hand.

Above all, Dan loved spending time with his wife and best friend, Bonnie and their beloved dog, Miracle.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, James Korosa and Cassandra "Cassie" Chalman; and brother-in-law, Scott Bushkill.

Dan will be dearly missed by his wife, Bonnie Korosa; stepdaughter, Loretta Smith; brother, Bill Lewis; twin brother, David (Tammy) Korosa; sister, Theresa Bushkill; nephews, Anthony and Kyle; and numerous other family members.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, followed by a 3:00 pm funeral service at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
