Dallas L. Metz

Dallas L. Metz, 70, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025 after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Tunnelton, WV to Delbert and Virginia Metz, he resided in the Akron, OH area most of his adult life. Dallas enjoyed golf, fishing, watching football, anything outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dallas was preceded in death by his son, Casey Metz; brothers, Charles Metz, Delmus Metz, Dave Metz, Bill Metz. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years, Kathy; daughter, Dana Metz; grandsons, Tyler (Elizabeth) Jarvis, Thomas Jarvis, Tanner Jarvis; great grandchildren, Lacy Jarvis, Rowan Jarvis; siblings, Gardenia Wilcox, Joe (Norma) Metz, George Metz, Henry (Lucy) Metz, Kay (Al) Mic; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Everyone is welcome to visit Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 11:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dallas' name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
