Dallas Jarvis
Dallas Jarvis, 84, of Mogadore, originally from West Virginia, passed away after a long illness on April 28, 2015. Dallas struggled mightily the last few years of his life, never complaining about his situation yet always finding a way to be funny. He has found eternal life in Heaven and now the pain is gone and left behind are the years of the greatest memories anyone could want. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for four years during the Korean conflict and retired from Akron Standard after 34 years. Dallas really enjoyed being together with family and friends. He loved to fish, watch the Browns, Indians, and loved taking horses to Mountaineer with his friend Rod Moyer to watch them race, and no one will forget his sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Corene Hicks; brothers, Charles and Eugene; sister, Janice; sister in-laws, Katherine and Edith Robinson; brother in-laws, Ercelle and Corbert Robinson, Paul Scott; and nephew, Jeffrey Scott. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Wilma, to whom he had a great and enjoyable life together; daughter, Sandy; son, Greg; sisters, Gladys Forshey, Glennis (Curt) Blevins, Dorothy (Tom) Duncan, and Ann (John) Davis; 5 beautiful grandkids, 5 beautiful great-grandkids; numerous nieces and nephews; but he will be especially missed by his most favorite dog, Molly.
