Dale R. Martin, 76, of Akron, passed away April 27, 2015. He was born on March 9, 1939 to the late Earl and Florence Martin. Dale proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a union meat cutter for his entire life. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his infant son, Richard Dale Martin. He is survived by his children, Sheila (Burl) Schaffer, Ray Martin, and Tina Gunning; grandchildren, Tony, Tommy, Tim, Trisha, Zack, Ali, Ciara, Lauren, Zach, Sophia, and Cody; four great-grandchildren; and special cousin, Neljean Schultz.
Cremation has taken place and Dale will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11:30 a.m.
