Dale Edward Moser, 70, passed away January 18, 2026. Born in Akron, Ohio to Warren and Eleanor (Baumgartner) Moser, he was a lifelong resident of Rootstown. Dale was a 1973 graduate of Rootstown High School and subsequently became a mechanical engineer by trade obtaining a BSME degree from Akron University. Dale was a long time member of the Tallmadge Bible Church and a true man of faith with a deep belief in God. Following a spiritual path his actions were guided by a trust in a higher power often involving prayer, scripture study, and service. Dale lived by divine will rather than worldly desires. He was quiet and humble man with a good sense of humor and a huge enthusiasm for automobiles. As a youth he collected and built many model cars. Dale's ability to lay down a perfect rattle can finish on a plastic model was the envy of the neighborhood and he often painted models for others desiring that mile deep finish on their plastic jalopy. If he wasn't building models he was immersed racing HO cars on elaborate tracks he built in the basement involving hairpin turns, switchbacks, cross-overs and loop-de-loops. Dale liked Fords and Mopars but was a Chevy man at heart. His first car - and perhaps his first love - was a blue two door 1971 Chevy Impala. Being just slightly smaller than the Titanic it could fit four abreast in the front or rear seats without anyone rubbing shoulders. Dale proudly drove that car with a smile on his face and hands properly positioned at "ten and two" just as instructed.
Dale was a loyal family man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends reminiscing about the good times growing up in the Rootstown neighborhood where he lived for 65 of his 70 years. Dale will be sadly missed by his brothers, Dave (Mary Lou) Moser, Gary Moser; nephews Jim Moser, Tom (Erika) Moser; niece, Christine (Jared) Shade as well as friends and church family.
