Dale Warren Jay

Dale Warren Jay, ago 90 of Akron went home to be with the Lord at his home on Sunday, December 7, 2025. Born in Bedford Co., PA to the late Robert P. and Edna L. {Smith} Jay, Dale was the 7th of 8 children.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his youngest son, George Jay; sisters, Rilda, Vada, Irene, Martha and Adna; and brother Guy Jay.

Dale is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Edna "Lucy" Jay; oldest son Robert D. Jay; grandchildren Robert D. "Robby" Jay II (Jacqueline) and Rachael Jay; great-granddaughter Addilynn Jay; brother Richard "Dick" Jay (Linda); nephew Richy (Jill) Jay; great-nephews and -niece Mathew (Jordan), Rachael, Ricky (Lena); great-great-nieces Sophia, Bella, Sylvie, Baylee and Emma; great-great-nephew Kyler Jay.

Dale was known for being a hard worker, having spent over 45 years driving truck, and was a Union Steward for Local 348.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Saturday, December 13th from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service that begins at 11:00 a.m. A committal service will follow in the mausoleum chapel at Hillside Memorial Park, where Dale will be laid to rest.
