Cordee Perdue
Cordee Perdue, 77, went home to be with the Lord, October 27, 2007 surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 2, 1930 in Baytown TX and has lived in Mogadore since 1957. He served in the US Army. He drove truck for 35 years and loved being with his family. He also loved fishing, bowling, golfing, and serving at Arlington Memorial Baptist Church, where he was a member for 47 years. He also donated over 6 gallons of blood to the Red Cross. He was proceeded in death by his parents Cordee S (Thelma) Perdue and Berna Perdue; brother Everette; sister Geraldine; and his baby son Ivy Perdue. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce nee Vann; sons Gary (peggy) Perdue and Jim (Pam) Perdue; grandchildren Suzette (Ray) Sayre, Shane (Sarah) Perdue, Marianne, Nicole and Jimmy Perdue; great grandchildren Dawn, Raymond, Hunter and Conner Sayre and Emma Pittzer; brother Joe (Pam) Walker and sister Faye Perdue. Special thanks to the nurses in the Critical Care Unit and Select Care at the Akron City Hospital for their compasionate care. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at the Arlington Memorial Baptist Church, 2330 E Market St, Akron at 11 A.M. with Pastor Don Davies officiating. Family and friends may call on Wednesday at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd, Akron from 3 - 7 P.M. Memorials can be made to the Arlington Memorial Baptist Church Capital Improvement Fund.
