Colton David Wagner, 13, passed away peacefully at home on August 20, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Akron, Ohio to Scott Wagner and Sarah (Anderson) Brown.
Colton loved to learn new things, soaking up every bit of knowledge that he possibly could. He enjoyed Minecraft, Pokemon, animals, Marvel superheroes, Wild Kratts and spending time with his family.
He will be sadly missed by his parents, Scott Wagner, Sarah (Ed) Brown; siblings; Scotty, Owen, Sydney; grandparents; Rick and Lori Anderson, Nancy Brown; uncles, Daniel (Leea) Anderson, David Anderson, Nathan Anderson, Jacob Anderson; aunts, Christine Herritt, Lisa (Mike) Fletcher; close cousins, Carol, Hollie, Gabi, Amelia, Henry; many other family members, teachers and friends.
Colton desired so much to be two things when he grew up, an author and a movie actor. He talked about the stories he would write and the roles he would play. What Colton didn't realize was that he already achieved these dreams. He was the author of the story of a real life superhero that never backed down from the pain and trials that were dealt his way. He was the hero in his own screenplay telling the story of a child who showed resilience, strength, perseverance and faith, who fought so fiercely, every battle that was thrown his way as people from all over the world watched in awe, talked about and were inspired by his strength and ever joyous nature through it all, with an ending where he won the battle - being completely healed in Heaven.
Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Springfield Assembly of God, 1551 S. Canton Rd. The service will follow at 1 p.m at the church.
