Cody L. Bostic, 77, passed away on August 31, 2014.
Cody served with the US Navy and retired from Goodyear after 38 years. He loved NASCAR and Mark Martin, and the Cleveland Indians. Cody was a devoted family man and a member of American Legion Post 209, where he served on the Honor Guard.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Neoma Bostic; and brother, Divus. Survivors include his beloved wife, Joanne (nee Tomello), of 54 years; son, Mark (Cheryl Lichtenberger); daughter, Lori (William King); former son-in-law, Scott Riblett; granddaughter, Amanda Riblett, grandson and buddy, Cody Riblett; brothers, Maxwell (Barbara) and Burless (Barbara); and sisters, Beatrice (Mike) Wikle, Joyce (Ralph) Wickline, Rosemary (Carlos) Hoke and Juanita Brant.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, 5 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to DaVita Kidney Dialysis, 73 Massillon Rd., Akron, OH 44312.
