Clarence Maxon Gainer

Clarence Maxon Gainer, "CG Max", age 66 of Akron, Ohio, died on September 26, 2021 at his home.

He was born on May 26, 1955 in Akron, the son of the late Johnnie and Lucille (nee Talbert) Gainer.

Clarence was retired from Goodyear as a laborer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his Harley and the outdoors.

Survivors include his only daughter, Bernadette Marlowe "Bernie", with whom he lived; his two granddaughters, Takara (fiance, Zack Werner) Higgins and Taylor Marlowe; and one great-granddaughter, Aretria "Lucy" Higgins.

Clarence also has one brother that survives, Larry (Linda) Gainer Sr, as well as, his nieces and nephews, Larry Gainer Jr, Joe (Tisha) Gainer, Laurie (Greg) Orr and David (Mindy) Good; and his great-nieces and -nephew, Bre Smith, Heather Henslee and Jaxon Gainer.

Other than his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by one brother, Karl Gainer.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio, where family and friends may visit from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.

Following all services, Clarence will be cremated.
