Clara Irene VanBuskirk, lovingly known as “Betty Lou,” went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2026, at the age of 82.
Betty Lou was born on August 31, 1943 in Carlisle Pennsylvania, and lived a life centered on faith, love, and family. She was the heart of her home and loved her family more than anything in this world. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her children and loved ones, sharing laughter, stories, and making memories that will be treasured forever.
She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. Betty Lou loved peaceful days spent fishing, the excitement of a lively bingo hall, and the friendly competition of a good poker game. She felt most at peace surrounded by nature, especially in the mountains, and took special joy in feeding the birds and squirrels.
Known for her gentle spirit and warm heart, she was an avid elephant collector whose treasured keepsakes reflected her loving and sentimental nature.
Her strong faith guided her life, and she loved the Lord deeply. She lived with kindness, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength.
She is survived by her loving children, son- James VanBuskirk Jr, daughters Julie Krasauskas (Bill), and Jacqueline, who will continue to honor her memory and the values she instilled in them. Grandchildren- Raymond VanBuskirk, Jessica Newell (Josh), Danielle McClellan (Rob), Jason Dixon, Mike Dixon (Jean), Ryan Dixon (Angela), Amanda Caldwell(Mike). Great Grandchildren Elaina, McKenna, Liam, Alexander (Maddie), Xzavier, Emma, Eleanor, Jason Jr, Aiden, Brayden, Carter, Jordynn, Kylie, Mikey, Mckenzie, Joseph. Great Great Granddaughter - Xzina Kay.
She is reunited in Heaven with her beloved parents Mother Clara Wilson and Father Raymond Brickner, siblings and her dear son, Jody.
Though she will be deeply missed, her love will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
