Cindy Sue (Morris) Grimm, 74, of Canal Fulton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Born on August 29, 1951, in Akron, Ohio, Cindy spent most of her life in Barberton, where she built a legacy of compassion and selflessness.
A dedicated nurse by profession, Cindy devoted her career to caring for others until her declining health forced her into early retirement. Known for her boundless generosity—she would give the shirt off her back, even if it were her last—Cindy was loving, giving, and kind, with a sharp sense of humor, and yet unafraid to speak her mind. She always put others before herself, serving as a positive beacon of light in the world and touching countless lives through her warmth and unwavering support.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Leroy Morris Sr. and Helen Frances (Boyd) Morris; her sister, Rona (Morris) Gravius; her brother, Jack Leroy Morris Jr.; her brothers-in-law, Richard Gordon and Thomas Weiss; and her niece, Julie Weiss.
She is survived by her daughters, Danielle Cain (Shannon), Gretchen Grimm, and Cally Elkins (Branden); her grandchildren, Julia Baum, Zachariah Grimm, Ted Fortseras, Aurora Elkins, Baby Elkins, her great grand son Leo Baum; her sisters, Catherine Weiss, Martha Gordon, and Stella Barnes; her brother, Kim Morris (Tammy); her nieces, Mary Frances Wilcox (Jimmy), Jackie Morris Hopkins (Karlton), and Diana Garlock (Andrew); son-in-law parents; Howard and Bridget Elkins; and sister-in-law; Christine Morris; and many more beloved family members, friends, former coworkers, neighbors, and furbabies, who cherished her loving spirit.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305. Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a memorial service honoring her immediately following at 3:00 p.m.
