Christina M. Watkins

Christina M. Watkins lost her courageous battle with cancer on February 28, 2015. She was born in Akron, OH to parents Harold and Mary Watkins on January 26, 1966. Christina graduated with an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology from Columbus State University. She loved animals, working as veterinary technician for many years. Most recently, she worked at the PT Center in Fairlawn for 16 years. Christina loved her pets, Emma, Jake and Jesse. She also enjoyed playing softball, hiking, being outdoors, camping, white water rafting, and kayaking. Her hobbies included reading, watching bad horror movies, gardening, and home remodeling. She leaves to cherish her memory, parents, Harold and Mary Watkins; siblings, Richard (Nichol) Watkins, Greg (Cathy) Watkins, and Karen (Chris) Ratcliff; nieces, Sarah, Kellie; nephews, Nick, Dan, Greg, Corey, Scott, Chase, Zack; great niece, Avery; great nephew, Jaxon; and a host of other relatives and friends. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday March 4, 2015 from 6-8pm and funeral service will be held on Thursday March 5, 2015 at 1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, Oh 44305.
