Charles D. Watters II "Skip", 70, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 15, 2026. He was born on January 18, 1956.
Skip was a proud veteran of the United States Army, retiring after 30+ years of service. Over his years of service, he earned the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Skip loved supporting and being actively present in his children and grandchildren's lives. He was well known for his generosity, often sacrificing his own comfort for the sake of the people he loved. Skip also had a wide range of talent on the karaoke stage.
In addition to his parents, Chuck and Zelda {Combe} Watters, Skip was preceded in death by his brother Chris Watters, sister, Cindy Caley and sister-in-law Julia Watters.
Skip is survived by his loving children, Angela (Rich) Wisor, Charles D. Watters III "Skip" (Deanna), Amanda (David) Cargill, Luke (Samantha) Watters, Adam (Elizabeth) Watters, Christine (Tyler) Beatty and James (Brianna) Watters; aunt Lorraine Hoyt; 15 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
Skip's loss has left a void in his family, and he will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
The family will receive guests on Monday, June 22nd from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service that begins at 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305.
