Charles Pritchard Jr., 81, of Akron, passed away November 17, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. Charles was born November 6, 1929 to the late Charles and Ethel (Bobbie) Pritchard. He retired from DuPont after 39 years of service. Charles' gift for making up tall tales and his fun-loving personality will be missed by all who knew him. He could always be counted on for his enduring optimism and his strong convictions. Charles was a collector of watches and an avid car enthusiast. He was devoted to his family and was deeply loved. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; parents, Charles and Ethel (Bobbie); and stepson, Dan Morris. He is survived by his daughters, Judith Pritchard and Debra (Myron) Matczyszyn; grandchildren, Chuck Coburn and Rena (Jason) Hamric; great-grandchildren, Chloe and Alana Hamric; stepsons, Matthew (Sandy) Morris and Tim Morris; step-daughter-in-law, Pam Morris; stepgrandchildren, Katie, Zech, Jessica, Sam, Jeremy (Jamie), and Jacob; and step-great-grandchildren, Sonya, Sonjay, Tristen, and Kerah. Visitation will be Friday, November 19, 2010 from 11-1 followed by a 1 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
