Charles Keith "Chuck" Hatfield

Charles Keith "Chuck" Hatfield, 62, of Akron, passed away peacefully after a long illness on May 14, 2026. He was born on July 19, 1963 to Wanda {Cook} Hatfield and the late Charles Kenneth Hatfield.

In addition to his father, Chuck was preceded in death by his brother Rocky Hatfield.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Terrilyn; daughter, "sweetheart" Nicole (Richard) Wakehouse; sons Chucky (Gabby) Hatfield and Chad Hatfield; grandchildren Richard Jr. "RJ", Natalie "Princess", Oliver "Ollie"; mother Wanda Hatfield; brothers Kevin (Yvette) Hatfield and Randy (John) Hatfield; sister Tonya (Hernan) Restrepo; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Chuck loved sharing his sports knowledge with his grandson RJ, whom he often referred to as "Grasshopper". PawPaw was his proudest title. Along with sports and his family, Chuck enjoyed music, and attended dozens of concerts with his brothers over the years.

Chuck was a trivia buff, especially when it came to sports facts. His ornery demeanor and sense of humor will be dearly missed by all those that love him.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Monday, June 1st from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., when the funeral service will begin with Pastor Ron Carver officiating. Following services, Chuck will be cremated.
