Cathy A. Shepherd

Cathy A. Shepherd, 72, of Akron, passed away on July 15, 2026. She was born on September 15, 1953 the daughter of the late Paul and Ruth Shepherd. Cathy retired after many years of dedicated service from Sam's Club Optical. She was a woman of faith and reflected God's love in the way she showed love, kindness and compassion to others. Her love extended to all God's creatures and they had a special place in her heart, especially her cats. Cathy never failed to brighten up a room with her infectious laughter and smile. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Ruth; and sisters Nancy and Carol.

Cathy is survived by many friends, especially Amanda (Jeremey) Smith, Harry Smith, Jamie Smith, Leia (Jason) Dark and family, Shannon And her work family and her beloved cats.

Per Cathy's wishes cremation will take place.
