Catherine L. "Cathy" Calgos

Catherine L. "Cathy" Calgos, 71, passed away peacefully at home on November, 19, 2025. Born in Akron, Ohio to Charles and Nancy Clair, she was a lifelong area resident. For many years Cathy worked as payroll manager for Bally's Scandinavian. She enjoyed music, watching movies and sports as well as spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her husband Michael. She will be sadly missed by her son, Derrick (Stephanie); grandchildren, Aydin, Nevaeh; partner, Michael Hay.

Cathy Lynn Calgos was a dream to me.

A beautiful woman with a soul that was free.

She always treated me like a king.

Cathy was definitely my right wing.

I'm already missing every little bit.

My heart is pounding - I want it to quit.

Her laughter, her food unbelievably great.

I was two days from home when I learned of her fate.

So now I will remember this woman's love.

God may you let her fly like a dove.
