Casimir J. Bengier
Casimir J. Bengier, 85, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2015 in Stow, Ohio. He was born on December 28, 1929 in Hopedale, Ohio to the late Peter and Constance Bengier. Cas was a long time resident of Richmond, OH and was a member of the St. John Fisher Catholic Church. He served his country in the US Marine Corp. Cas retired from Weirton Steel, and enjoyed golfing and gardening. Many people enjoyed his sense of humor. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren, and he was very devoted in his Catholic faith.
Cas was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Woollard); sons, Daniel, Robert, and Mark Bengier; siblings Valeria, Katherine, Stanley, and Regina Bengier, Stella Stunda, Mary Anderson, and Anna Thomas; and grandchildren Michaela and Donald Jr. He is survived by son, Donald (Julie) Bengier and daughter, Donna Bernert (Jane Cox); brothers, Joseph (Dorothy) and Frank Bengier; and grandchildren Wilhelm, Wolfgang, Gunnar, Megan, and Matthew Bengier.
A celebration of his life and funeral service will take place in Richmond, OH at the convenience of his family at a later date. Inurnment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville, Ohio. The family would like to thank the Briarwood and Crossroads Hospice for their continued care and comfort.
