Carolyn Sue Riffle, lovingly known as Susie, passed away on October 7, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on November 26, 1950, Carolyn will be remembered for the care she gave to others, the love she held for her family, and the kindness and compassion that shaped her life.
Carolyn was a proud nurse whose work reflected her deeply selfless nature. She was someone who would help anybody, always offering care, comfort, and understanding to those around her. Her compassion extended beyond her profession and into every part of her life. She also owned an assisted living facility in West Virginia called Victoria Manor, where her commitment to serving others continued in a meaningful and lasting way. Whether through her nursing, her work at Victoria Manor, or her daily interactions, Carolyn lived with generosity and heart.
Family was at the center of Carolyn’s life, and she loved them dearly. She is survived by her sister, Kim Fincannon and her husband, Wayne; her step-sister, Kathi Lappin and her husband, Marty; and her step-brother, Keith Baker and his wife, Kelly. She is also survived by her nephews, C.J. Taylor and his wife, Kristina, and Stephen Taylor and his wife, Jessica, along with many other family members and friends who will cherish her memory and carry her spirit with them.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Louise Baker, whose memory remained an enduring part of her life.
A graveside service will be held on October 19, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Northlawn Memorial Gardens, 4724 State Road, Peninsula, Ohio 44264.
Carolyn Sue Riffle will be remembered as a kind, compassionate, and giving woman whose life touched many. Her legacy of service, love, and selflessness will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
