Carolyn Irene Kemppel went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 31, 2016.
Who was Carolyn Irene Kemppel? She was a lady who loved Jesus before anything else in this world! Next, she loved her husband, her boys and their wives, and her seventeen grandchildren. She lived her life by Proverbs 3: 5-6.
She was a second grade teacher for 25 years at Massillon Christian and Reimer Road Christian School. Teaching was one of the greatest joys of her life. She always put to memory all her students names and would have them down by the very first day. She loved all her students! They were like her extended family!
Carol also loved her sports - "Go Tribe!", the Browns, and the Cavs. She grew up in a family with uncles who were all sports fans so she just followed suit! She grew up in Massillon, Ohio and became a Paul Brown fan which led to support of Cincinnati for several years until turning her support back to the Browns.
She will be severely missed by her husband, Ernie; sons, Ernie (Charlean), Craig (Heidi), Dean (Shelly), and Kirk (Jennifer); grandchildren, Joshua, Alexander (Yasmine), Zachary (Elisabeth), Calvin, Carson, Carter, Haven, Campbell, Colson, Kyle, Kole, Kenna, Nathan, Kara, and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Amelia and Jude; sister, Betti Mesko; brother, Thomas Hall; special niece, Michelle (Kirk) Potthoff; many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Irene; brother, Joel; and sister, Linda Sue.
Family and friends may call on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at Barberton First Baptist Church, 254 6th St NW, Barberton.
