Carol J. Barnes, 81, of Akron, passed away December 26, 2011. She was born on January 28, 1930 to the late Edward L. Johnson and Violet Thornton. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, George Gaylord; nephew, Terry Gaylord.
Carol is survived by her sons, Robert (Graca) and David (April); daughter, Brenda Keagle; sister, Marilyn Gaylord; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Monday, January 2 from 2-4 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd.
