Carol Jane Merideth

Carol Jane Merideth, 54, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on May 20, 2016. She was born in Lompoc, California on July 22, 1961. She attended Firestone High School and graduated from University of Central Florida. Carol worked for 33 years at the Veterans Administration in Orlando. She had a generous spirit and volunteered her time to help others. She was the rock of her family and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Ray Merideth Jr. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Abu Haqqah; children, Marissa Gilbert and Sean Michael Gilbert; mother, Socorro Merideth; sister, Melinda Merideth; brother, Ricky (Janet) Merideth; nephews, Austin and Maxwell Merideth; many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 5- 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 12 noon. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
