Carl L. Greathouse

Carl L. Greathouse, 87, passed away peacefully November 29, 2025. Born in Pine Grove, WV to Burl and Laura (Hawkins) Greathouse, he resided in both Louisville and Cuyahoga Falls, OH all of his adult life. Carl was a U.S. Navy Veteran and was a member of the Eastwood Springs Church in Louisville. His early years of drywall finishing led to his passion for renovating homes. Carl enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling, gardening and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by spouses, Mary Ellen Greathouse, Judith Christensen & son Clark "Jay" Grable; siblings, Robert Greathouse, Jerry Greathouse, Rose Greathouse; grandson, Terry Easterling Jr. He will be sadly missed by children, Michael (Connie) Greathouse, Diana (Jeff) Tilton, Laura (Jim) Tilton, Lynn (Brian) Vernier; grandchildren, Mike, Nick, Jacob, Jesse, Megan, Blake, Anthony, Kendal; great grandchildren, Marilyn, Mike, Melody, Lydia, Jude, Tobias, Liam, Isaiah, Gage, Scarlett; extended family that includes Suzann Johnson (wife of the deceased Clark “Jay” Grable), Melodie Grable (Thomas Coffey), Robin Willis (Greg), Velvet Grable (Jerry Meadows), Dawn Bleichrodt (Bruce); grandchildren Noel, Lauren, Morgan, Christopher, Clark, D.J, Robert, April, Paige and 13 great grandchildren.

The family will have a celebration of Carl's life at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Carl's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
