Cara Sue (Moyer) Peterson, 69, passed away on January 18, 2014.
She was born on January 6, 1945 in Wesson, WV. She was a long-time resident of Akron. Cara was a member of the Orioles Club and the American Legion, Post 449. She loved spending time with her family and socializing.
Preceded in death by parents, Perk and Ethel Woofter; sisters, Mary Lou and Barbara; brother, Bill. Survivors include sons, James Dean and Charles (Penny) Moyer; daughter, Cammie (Joe) Stone; sister, Darlene Woofter; brother, Joe Woofter; grandchildren, Luke and Alicia McKinney, Jimmy and Timmy Moyer, and Joey Stone; 2 great-grandchildren; and many close friends.
Calling hours will be Thursday, 4 to 5:30 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 5:30 p.m.
