Cameron "Cam" M. Schrader, 22, of Akron, passed away on August 11, 2025. He was born on October 16, 2002 the son of Christie Kresge and Craig Schrader of Akron, Ohio. Cam graduated from Mogadore High School with the class of 2021. He was employed with the Akron City Parks Dept for a short time.
From an early age, Cam developed an insatiable love for cars, a fascination that grew into a remarkable skill set. Friends and family often marveled at his ability to tear apart and reassemble car engines and other small engines. His garage became a sanctuary, a place where creativity met craftsmanship.
Cam dedicated himself to the care and rehabilitation of countless animals, pouring his heart into every endeavor to nurture them back to health. His hands, gentle yet firm, worked tirelessly to mend broken bodies and soothe weary hearts. To witness him with animals was to see a harmony that transcended words-an unspoken bond filled with trust and gratitude.
He enjoyed the outdoors snow boarding, camping and fishing. He also enjoyed gaming and riding his BMX bike.
He will always be remembered for the love in his heart, his kindness and his compassion for all.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Barbara Schrader.
Cam is survived by his loving family, mother Christie (Chuck) Kresge; father Craig Schrader; maternal grandparents Judy and Chuck Simone; paternal grandfather Bob Schrader; half-brother Ryan Schrader; aunts and uncles Tracy (Bob) King, Stephanie Shundry, Brian (Rebecca) Simone, Troy (Mary) Simone, Scott (Melissa) Schrader, and Wade (Stephanie) Kerzie; cousins Zach, Nicolette, Blake, Alex, Dominic, Max, Jake, Matthew, Sarah, Kaley, Jacob, Victoria, Garrison, and Karoline; extended family, Bruce, Nancy, Ryan (Heidi), Jen, and Brandon; and many more family and friends.
