Calvin A. Bennett, Sr.

Calvin A. Bennett, 86, went home to be with the Lord on February 17, 2015. He was born to the late Grant and Bessie Bennett. He was a lifelong resident of Akron, one of 10 children. He served in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman. Calvin was a retired Teamster. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Alvin. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife of 66 years, Betty; sons, Calvin Jr. (Marge), Robert (Jackie), Richard (Sharen), and Larry (Linda); 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; 1 sister; and a host of other relatives and friends. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren. Private services will be held at the request of the family. Pastor Larry Bennett officiating. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
