August 11, 1941 — April 29, 2016

Buck Hayes, Jr., 74 of Akron passed on April 29, 2016. Buck was born to Buck, Sr. and Adel Hayes in Pulaski, Tennessee on August 11, 1941. Prior to his 30 year career as a skilled and tireless general contractor, Buck attended North High School. The Golden Gloves became Buck's sanctuary as he honed his boxing prowess and won several prestigious trophies and awards. Nobody could beat "Buck!" Other gifts shone too! He was a survivalist, a keen outdoorsman who hunted small game and fished for hours, creatively artistic, loved fashion, fierce pool player, and loved to read his Bible.

Buck was preceded in death by his father, Buck Hayes, Sr.; mother, Adel Hayes; sister, Ann Colter; brothers, John and Kenneth Hayes. Survived by his brothers, Thomas ( Barbara) Hayes, Leroy (Theresa) Hayes, James Hayes; three sisters, Theresa Brown, Adel Hayes ,Vickie (Andre) Phillips.

"Behold! Children are a gift of the Lord," ( Psalms 127: 3 ) , Buck was blessed with children whom will miss him dearly; David DiLauro, Vicki Hayes, Patricia Wyatt ( husband Gary ) , Michael Hill, Buck Hayes III all of Akron; and Charlene Thompson and Juan ( Gilly ) Simmons of North Carolina, Buck's 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren will help preserve his memory.
