Bryan Patrick Herrick, 38 passed away June 13th after a brief and unexpected illness. He was born in Akron on July 8, 1975.
To all who knew him, Bryan was an angel walking the earth. A kind and caring man, he always had an ear to lend, a shoulder to cry on, a hand to help you up when you were down and a heart that loved you for who you were.
Bryan's greatest joys in life were his friends and family. He held every one of them dear to his heart. Fishing was his passion. He was always looking for an opportunity to get out on the lake. He loved a good game of euchre. He was the best of all-time in his mind and he let you know it. He was a devout fan of the 49ers and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved the Lord of the Rings and took great pride in explaining and educating people who weren't well versed in it. He loved online apps, met many people across the country, despite never meeting, became good friends. Bryan's spirit and generosity will be missed by all of those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia; sister, Adena Diehl. Bryan is survived by his wife, Kimberly; son, Thomas; father, Thomas; brothers, Jeff (Jodi), Kevin (Lisa) and Ron Diehl; many nieces and nephews, especially Cheyenne; best friends, Jimmy (Jen) Burns and Kenny (Patti) Skelly; uncle and aunt, Phil (Terry) Meinen; many cousins and friends.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, June 18, from 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where a funeral service will the calling hours at 7 p.m. with Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Thomas A. Herrick College Fund.
