Brenda Lee Hunt

Brenda L. Hunt, age 74, of Mogadore, passed away at home on November 25, 2024. She was born on May 25, 1950 to the late Gordon and Donna Dugger in Akron, OH. She graduated from Field High School in 1968. 

Brenda worked as an assistant manager for Family Dollar before retiring. 

On February 21, 1970, she married William R. Hunt II. Brenda and William lived in Mogadore, Ohio, for most of their lives together.

Brenda was the family matriarch. She loved spending time cooking, canning and gardening. She enjoyed getting everyone gathered together where the family would spend time just being together and enjoying each other's company. She was selfless and the love and compassion she had for others was unmatched. 

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, William II; children, William III, Glen (Laura) and Sean (Amanda) Hunt; grandchildren, William IV (Haylee), Lauren (Jon), John (Natalia), Hannah-Lee (Daniel), Logan (Braedyn), Macey, Ethan and Emma; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Ricky (Heidi), Keith (Laura), Tina and Tammy; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

Family and friends are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305) on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 4pm until 6pm. Her Funeral Service will begin at 6pm with Pastor Robby Dugger officiating. 

Memorials donations in Brenda's name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
