Brenda Faye Clegg

Brenda Faye Clegg passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her family, on June 28, 2026. A dedicated homemaker, Brenda poured her heart into creating a warm, welcoming home for everyone she loved.

She was a woman who loved being on the go, whether she was playing a lively game of Bingo, gossiping with the neighbors, or tending to her favorite flowers while watching the hummingbirds. Above all else, her greatest joy came from spending precious time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Richard "Rick" Clegg, who passed away just ten days prior; her father, Sam Stokes; her mother, Thelma Stokes; her stepmother, Jan Stokes; her sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Bob Phares; and her sister-in-law, Teddy Stokes.

Her legacy of love lives on through his surviving family: her brothers, Marion "Spike" (Regina) Stokes and Terry Stokes; and her sister, Pam (Rick) Pilcher. She is also survived by her children, Ricky Clegg, Tammy (Mark) Vaught, Don (Jenne) Clegg, and David Clegg; her grandchildren, Kenny (Sarah), Matt, DJ (Hailey), Cody (Steffie), Tara (Justin) Eldred, Brandon Leffel, and Nick Clegg; her eight adored great-grandchildren; her dearest friends, Anthony and Roasa Kenny; as well as a large and loving circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Brenda and Rick are now reunited in peace. A celebration of life for both Brenda and Rick will take place on July 13th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Rose Villa Restaurant, 368 Portage Lakes Drive, Akron, OH 44319, with a memorial service beginning at 1:30 PM. They will be laid to rest together on July 14th at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens, 5001 Everhard Rd NW, Canton, OH 44718.
