Akron— Bonnie Neidert, 91, passed away April 26, 2025.

Born June 7, 1933 to Merrill and Jesse West. She graduated from Garrettsville High School and Carnegie College with a Medical Assistant Degree. She worked at Barberton Citizens Hospital in their lab. She then worked at Babcock & Wilcox in the Employee Activities department. She volunteered with the American Red Cross for over 50 years. She was a member of St. Paul’s UMC where she met her future husband, Henry Neidert. They were married in 1984. Widowed in 2001, Bonnie is survived by stepchildren Christopher (Patricia) Neidert of Norton, Michael Neidert of Wadsworth, Mary Ann (Jack) Powers of Suffield; step-grandchildren, Melanie, Timothy, Brett, Abby, Martha, and Bethany; step-great grandchildren, Mara, Luca, Axel, Sophie, Mattthew, and Iris.

A private memorial service will be held at Lakemore UMC. Interment at Greenlawn Cemeteery. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross.
