Billy G. "Bill" Hall, 77, an adored husband, father, and grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2014 after a brief illness. Bill was born May 10, 1936 in Tomahawk, KY to the late James and Callie Hall.
He retired from Ford Motor Company in Walton Hills after 33 years of service. After his retirement, he filled his days by working at The New Era Restaurant in Akron, where he was always surrounded by his friends. In addition, Bill was a member of the Mogadore Moose Lodge #1082, where he had served as Junior Governor.
Bill is survived by his wife of 48 1/2 years, Sarah "Sally" Hall, who is the love of his life. He also leaves behind daughters Kelli (Scott) West, Shelli (Dennis) Stanley, Kimberly (Patrick) Pyle, all of Akron, and Debra (Arnie) Roberts of Booneville, KY. The lights of his life were his six grandchildren; Billy, Shianne, Amy, Shawn, Cherokee, and Brendan, of Akron. Also surviving are his brothers Bobby and Russell Hall, of Michigan and sisters Lola Hall of Kentucky and Carol (Chuck) Turnbill of Michigan. Bill will be missed, as well, by his loyal black lab, Rascal.

Friends and family may call 5-8 pm on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 17, 2014 at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Nutt officiating. Final resting place will be at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron.
