Beverly June Foose "Aunt Bev"
Beverly June Foose, 77, of Akron, passed away November 23, 2013. She was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on January 2, 1936 and graduated from Wheeling High School. After moving to Akron she began working at Dairy Mart (formerly Lawson's) and retired after 35 years as a district supervisor. She was a dedicated employee who inspired others with her work ethic and she won many awards for her performance.
Aunt Bev had a generous spirit and her heart was open to anyone in need. She supported many charities and lent a hand to friends and neighbors when needed. She loved sports and supported all the Cleveland teams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Evelyn Foose; sisters, Nancy Foose and Shirley Burtrand; nephews, Jimmy Burtrand and Joey Vargo; and niece, Nancy Burtrand.
She will be deeply missed by her best friend, Dolly Vargo of Akron and brother, Chuck (Peggy) Foose of Wheeling, WV. She also leaves her niece, Tracy (Terry) Boyles, and cousins, Anita Bodnar, Eddie Geimer, and Phillip Geimer all of Wheeling, WV; nieces, Marie Hughes and Joyce Farber of Las Vegas, NV; nieces, Ellen Eldridge Flaker (Scotty) and Dottie Dugger Mash of Akron; great-nieces, Brandy (John) Goodman of Akron, Trisha (Steve) Sells of Tennessee; great-nephew, Brandon Dugger of Akron; great-nieces and nephews, Joey, Brittany and Matthew Vargo of Texas and Justine Vargo of Akron; and many good friends including, Dodie Reed, Ruth and Gib McCune. She also leaves the lights of her life, Liberty and Maddox Goodman and little Blossom.
Visitation will be Tuesday November 26 from 4-6 p.m. followed by a 6:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
