Beverley J. Morgan

Beverley J. Morgan, 83, of Akron, passed away on October 30, 2026. She was born on March 7, 1943, the daughter of the late James and Viola Chancey. She was a woman of great faith and was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. She worked many years at O'Neil's, Kaufmans, the May Co., Macy's and finally at Sears. Beverley was always willing to help others and volunteered for many years at Akron City Hospital. In her spare time she enjoyed scrap booking, needle working, reading and word puzzles. Beverley loved having family together and everyone looked forward to her famous Lasagna, Potato Salad, Zucchini Bread and Fried Chicken. She will always be remembered for her laughter, sense of humor, faithfulness to God and family, and the love in her heart for all.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Robert E. Morgan; and sister Patricia Fry.

Beverley is survived by her loving family, daughter Brenda Morgan; sons Kirk Morgan, and Robert K. (Alisha) Morgan; grandchildren Bethany, Haley, and Jacob; brother James (Ruth) Chancey; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9th from 4:00 to 5:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 5:00pm.
