Betty Jean Stevens, 93, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on June 10, 2025. She was born on March 3, 1932 to the late James Hess and Gladyce Condley.
Betty's life revolved around her faith and her family. She was a dedicated Jehovah's Witness and created a second family within the Cuyahoga Falls congregation.
Betty's home was the center of family activities. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed nothing more than hosting visitors and providing a great meal. She welcomed numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren to live with her at various times over the years. Everyone knew they could count on her for sound advice free from judgment. She was gentle and kind and will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Her husband Steve credits Betty for saving his life. She cared about his health and made sure he received the care he needed. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage and were perfect for one another.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her grandson, Adam Huskey.
Betty will be dearly missed by her husband of 62 years, Irvin "Steve" "Irv" Stevens; children, Michael Nipper, Michelle Finklestein, Brett (Toni) Huskey, Kim Lamb, Jeanine Randall, and Erin Jeskey; brothers, James Hess and John Hess; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday June 19, 2025 from 4pm to 6pm followed by a 6pm funeral service with Brother Kevin Berridge officiating. Betty will be privately laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
