Betty Ruthoshell Jones

Betty Ruth Oshell Jones, born January 25, 1931 in Morgantown WV to the late Jesse and Sadie Oshell, passed away at home surrounded by family on August 24, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Martin Decker; daughter, Terry Lynn Tenison and longtime companion, Larry Stone.

Betty is missed by children, Deborah Duley of West Virginia, Robert (Lisa) Decker of Texas, John Decker of Tallmadge, Sue (Jeff) Brown of Tallmadge, Tammy Tetrick of Springfield, 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her brother, Robert (Sarah) Oshell; sisters, Geraldine Herzog and Gladys (Joe) Burgess.

Betty lived for many years in Brimfield and spent the last 6 years of her life being cared for in the home of her loving granddaughter Nicole Benson, her husband David and children McKenzie, Madison, Jordan and Joey.

Betty leaves behind all of her children and grandchildren with the knowledge that they were truly loved.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice, a special thanks to Patty and Debbie and all the caregivers who have helped ease her final days.

Family and friends may call on Monday, August 27, from 4-8 PM and Tuesday, August 28, from 10-11 AM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., A funeral services will follow the morning calling hours at 11 AM with Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
