Betty R. Richards, 85, life resident of Akron, Ohio passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015. She was born October 25, 1929 in Akron to the late Jess and May Reese. Betty loved her family, learning and teaching. She retired from Springfield Local Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe in 2000. Betty is survived by her sons, Karl (Janis) and Vern (Debbie); daughter, Jo Ann (Frank) Wilson; grandchildren, Troy Wilson, Jessica (Ben) Artrip, Nicole (John) Nisly, Colleen (Jim) Louk, Brett (Liz) Richards and Erica (Tony) Moyers; great grandchildren, James, Lincoln, Travis and Trent and other family and friends.
The family will gather on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Ivy Chapel, 2569 Romig Rd Akron,Ohio 44320 from 10:00am with services to follow at 10:45am and burial immediately following. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Justin T. Roger Hospice Care Center 3358 Ridgewood Rd Akron, Ohio 44333.
