Betty P. Piper, 91, passed away October 4, 2020 with her family by her side. Born in Akron, Ohio to James and Sarah (Burgess) Ledford, she was a lifelong area resident. Betty retired from National City Bank, where she worked as a teller for many years. She enjoyed watching TBN and loved to shop on QVC.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by son, Gary Uhl; several siblings and friends. She will be sadly missed by daughter, Gail Heisterman; daughter in-law, Marianne Uhl; grandchildren, Gary Uhl Jr, Angela Thomann, Shauna Nowack, Kipp Heisterman, Randi Guzzi; many great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to extend a warm thank-you to Toni, Rachel, Kathleen and Linda for their loving care of Betty in recent years.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a private memorial at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Betty's name to Samaritan's Purse - U. S. Disaster Relief.
