Betty Jane Barauskas
Betty Jane Barauskas, 89, of Akron, passed away on July 28, 2015. She was born in Akron on July 15, 1926 to the late Albert and Mary Haas.
Betty had many interests including gourmet cooking, cake decorating, and crafts of all kinds. She devoted her life to her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Tony; sons, Butch and George; grandson, Steven; and two sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Givens; son, Mark (Terri); grandchildren, Toni (Amy), Rob, Denise (Chris), Jennifer (Mike), Shawn, Keith, and Lori; ten great-grandchildren; and best friend, Jackie. Betty's family wishes to thank the staff of Aseracare Hospice for all their care.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Libby's Legacy Breast Cancer Foundation, 1718 S. Orange Ave., Orlando, FL 32806.
